Looking for Treasure
A poem
May 27, 2022
O those hidden treasures
That get me by
A sweet warm smile
Is Pie in the Sky
The kindness of those
Who laugh and play
Are the most beautiful things
That come my Way.
It’s rough out here
In the Big Bad World
With Civility dead
And self-centeredness uncurled
But those hidden treasures
Carried in earthen pots
Are the black markers
That connect my crazy dots.
