This is one of the best pieces I’ve read on Medium. I am also an artist. I never opened an Etsy shop though I have sold designs on Zazzle.


I post most of my art on Instagram. And I did get a commission from a friend which was nice. I know someone who gets a lot of commissions on Instagram. She does incredibly realistic cat and dog portraits. But they are digital.


So keep going. To me there is nothing like the joy of writing a poem, a song or creating a piece of art.
